The sculpture shows two water vortices that rotate in opposite directions as a symbol of the union of opposite polarities. Everything in this life has its complement.

Each vortex has a different cycle so that the relationships established between the water above and the water below always generate unique and suggestive moments that arouse curiosity.

WATERMOON is a play on words in which Water and Moon want to remind us that this satellite of the Planet Earth governs the flows of the seas and oceans, as well as our body waters, sometimes altering the humors and people's emotions. Incorrectly called Planet Earth because it’s one part earth and three of water, like our body is; so it should be called Planet Water.

Water and light are essential elements for life and we must be aware of the use we make of them, as well as knowing how to appreciate what they give us.

Water is like a living being that shows itself in different states and emotional moments.

In our lives we go through moments of turbulence, uncertainty and discomfort but also moments of well-being, beauty and calm.

This sculpture was presented in 2006 at Termatalia – International Meeting of Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellbeing in Ourense.
